Licensing
Any company who installs burglar alarm systems in the State of California is required to be licensed by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Department of Consumer Affairs. The company is issued an alarm company number which should be on all bids, contracts and advertising. Requirements to be a member of the Orange County Alarm Association includes having and maintaining this license.

Many companies install additional types of systems that require a separate contractors license (CSLB#).

Fire Alarm / CSLB# with C-10 Classification
Intercom Systems
Audio/Video Systems
Telephone Systems / CSLB# with C-7 or C-10 Classification
Electronic Access
Control Systems / CSLB# with a C-7, C-10 or C-28 Classification
